AOL’s Indian portal - AOL.in - plans to spend about Rs 10 crore ($2.4 million) in Indian advertising which includes online and mass media. The company has appointed Madison Media for its media duties and Saatchi & Saatchi for the creative duties, reports Agencyfaqs.com. The account will be serviced from Bangalore.

Exchange4media reports that Yatra.com has appointed Leo Burnett as its creative agency. The account has moved from Everest Brand Solutions. Optimum Media Solutions will continue to handle the media duties. The account size is estimated to be Rs 8 crore.
In another related news, Lodestar Universal has won the Asia and Middle East media duties of Monster.com. The company already handles the Rs 20 crore account of Monster India.

If you have been paying attention to Amazon’s single product pages and if Amazon’s engineers have been doing their job well, you have most likely clicked on one of the links in the group of deep links called “Customers who bought this item also bought”.

This plugin tries to create a similar group of links for your blog. If you have enough links in your theme (Contextual Related Posts plugin comes in handy) for readers to explore, then as and when readers click on links, this plugin checks to see if it was referred from your blog, checks to see if it can identify a post or a page from the information it has and then adds a link to the referring page. I have been testing it on this blog for a few days while I iron out the bugs. Check out the pages and what grabs readers’ attention on various pages and posts.

Installation is very simple, just download, unzip, upload and activate. The plugin should automatically add the list to the bottom of every single page right before the comment form. Please refer to the plugin file for troubleshooting hints. Future development plans include an admin page to control the number of links, autoplacement etc.

Mark Ghosh have upgraded and consolidated his old Contextual Related Posts Plugin for Wordpress. This new version (1.1) is a simple install (just install the plugin file) and it will show the last 5 related posts from your blog. The display show the links right after the comment form. The matching is done with the post title of the post being viewed. Examples include my Retail Junction (WordPress 2.0) and Sap-Tricks (Wordpress 2.0)
PS: Some theme authors tend to remove default actions from their themes. If you are having problems displaying the related posts, please check with your theme author or post a comment here for help.
