Since the announcement of Dabangg 2, fans were not worried about the cast as much as they were excited about the music and potential item songs. Dabangg brought us “Munni Badnaam” leaving the filmmaker Arbaaz Khan, first time director, with big shoes to fill.
When Kareena was asked about her big item song, she revealed, “Saif said that ‘you are an actor and you need to keep doing that. Your job is to entertain the audience. I want you to do the item song. Both Saif and I think it will be one of the biggest films this year. It’s a Salman Khan film after all.”
At one point, it was said that Kareena would be challenging Karisma Kapoor’s look in “Sarkai Lo Khatiya Jada.” An insider at the time confirmed, “Kareena will be wearing a similar dress, but this time it will be in black.” Farah Khan was chosen once again to choreograph the number. “Farah wanted some element in the song that was massy yet uber cool and so we decided to give Kareena the shades contrasting her lucknowi dhoti-kurta look. As everyone expected, Kareena rocked the look,” a crew member said.
The video is out and making the social media circuits and spreading like wildfire! Kareena and Salman became a favorite couple after Bodyguard so seeing the two of them together again is a treat. The song in true item song fashion is catchy, colorful, and now it is up to the masses to decide if they think Kareena’s moves are impressive.
